Nintendo Switch Review

Earlier in my Christmas Tech Article, I recommended the Nintendo Switch. I then also realized that I have one, so I decided to make a review, as the title says.

The Switch is most known for its ability to be used in three modes (technically two): Docked Mode, where you can play on your TV, Handheld Mode, where as th name suggests, you can hold it in your hands, and Tabletop Mode, where you can put the main part of the console (believe it or not, the screen in between the joy-cons is the main part) on the built in kickstand, and take the joy-cons off, where you can play games like Mario Kart 8 or Snipperclips without having to bring more than two joy-cons. Basically you can switch between differnt modes, which is pretty much the idea of the Switch. Pun unintended.

Moving on to software, the Switch has a lot of good games, including the Game of the Year (Legend of Zelda Breath of the WIld), Super Mario Oddyssey, Arms, Splatoon 2, and so much more. Also Nintendo has finally opened up to third-party games, so games like Resident Evil, Skyrim, and more have come or are going to come. Nintendo has struck gold with this console, if you ask me.

If I were to focus on bad things, I would probably point to the lack of media. The Wii U let you surf the internet, watch YouTube, or binge Stranger Things on Netflix. The Switch just seems perfect for these kinds of things. It's prtable, so you could watch Netflix on your plane, or type (assuming they added USB-C keyboards for it or something). It just seems perfect for this console.

Lastly, I think it's the most customizable console of all time. You can switch out the joy-cons, add different colored straps, buy different controllers, and more. If you have  Switch, or plan on getting one, I recommend that you customize this to your liking, It's definetly perfect for this. There's a good reason they called it the SWITCH. You should take advantage of this.

Thank you for reading my review on the Nintendo Switch. Expect a review on the Xbox One S soon too.
